Best Kept Village

Cllr Rodney Howlett writes:  As you may have heard Hyde Heath have won the Buckinghamshire Best Kept Village Competition (Morris Cup)  for villages with a population of 500 to 1500. I have heard that it was very close, we only won by one point!

We also won The Leofwine Shield which is presented to the village within the Chiltern District that had the highest points in the competition. Cllr Eunice Narcisi will accept the Leofwine Shield on behalf of Hyde Heath Village at the beginning of the Chiltern District Council meeting at 6:30pm on Tuesday 9 October.

I will be receiving the award from the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Mrs Jenny Hopkirk at 4pm on Saturday 15th September by the BKV sign which will be erected a few days beforehand.  Congratulations to everyone in Hyde Heath for this magnificent achievement.
