Hyde Heath School

The picture below was kindly supplied by Mr Robert Seamons whose family were born in Little Hundridge, about a mile and a half from Hyde Heath - it is thought to date from the 1890's - see details below.

Mr Seamons says "My grandfather Percy Seamons is on the second row from back, last boy on right.  His sister Edith is the tallest girl on the second row from front.  I can't read the blackboard a the front except that it is Hyde Heath School, there may be a date there.  Percy was born in 1890 so I assume the picture was taken in the mid 1890s"

The letter below was written by Percy Seamons, grandfather of Robert, to his parents on December 21st 1899
- just before school broke up for Christmas.
